Gigi.nial -> Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/14/2008 4:33:58 PM)

I am!

But before I say anything more, I want to say "Hi!". I'm new here, been a HUGE fan of P.O.D. though since I first heard "Youth of the Nation", which if my memory serves me right, was released in 2001. So, I've LOVED this band for about 7 years now, and I love everything they've done pre-Satellite and post. I own every P.O.D. album Satellite and post, and I especially loved their last, WA&SD- I thought it was phenomenal and their best yet.

Anyway, when I ordered WA&SD, I had NO clue my name would be put on a "Warrior Wall", nor had I any knowledge of them planning to make one. I had just purchased the album online many months in advance, being the big fan that I am, not expecting a poster, much less one with my name on it. I was psyched to find my name on the Warrior Wall!
When I first become a fan of P.O.D.'s, it was a really exciting thing for me, because I felt like I'd found the perfect band who made the perfect music to enjoy and to glorify God with...but soon, a part of me felt bad, because I felt I could never experience P.O.D. the way my older cousin's had, or many of P.O.D.'s older fans who had the opportunity to go to their earlier concerts and experience them when they were at their peak of fame. In 2001, I was only 10/11 years old. By the time I was old enough to attend concerts, P.O.D had released Testify, and it was becoming ever-apparent to me that things had definitely slowed down, and to experience the true feeling of being a part of the movement and being a true warrior seemed over for me. But the day I received this poster with my name on it made me realize that it didn't matter if I didn't get the chance to see them when they were most successful, or when they were "cool", it was the fact that I was a fan now, and I had a common love for music and for the Lord that made me a warrior, and my name being on that wall proved that.

Yeah, long story over. [8D]

So, are you on the Warrior Wall?

The Vines -> RE: Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/14/2008 7:41:25 PM)

That's what being a warrior is all about, man. I always enjoy reading these things, they kinda make me proud of 'my' band. You're like the definition of a true warrior. [:-]
Welcome to the boards!

Yeah, I'm on the wall too. [:D]

trubywarrior -> RE: Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/15/2008 10:53:44 AM)

welcome to the boards, I'm on the warrior wall too as Ewen Ebsworth and Youngwarrior!!![:D] I know how you feel, P.O.D. commercial success did peak at Satellite but that doesn't change who they are as a band and I am still proud to be a warrior! I am so proud to have my name on the warrior wall, I think it's the coolest thing P.O.D. have done for their fans, I've had mine framed and it's now hanging on my bedroom wall.[8|]

Laban -> RE: Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/17/2008 3:50:39 AM)

I'm just like gigi.nial. been a fan since i first heard 'rock the party'. might just be the only fan where i live(rift valley, kenya.) got my WAASD copyy through my sister who lives in new york. Knew about the warrior wall though. either way i'd have bought the album - love those guys to bits. funny thing, that's the quickest i've obtained a P.O.D. record. at times i have to wait almost than a year (Payable on Death took a year and someweeks to get to me.) Grateful though, they never dissappoint I. Jah bless!

mr_dreadlocks -> RE: Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/20/2008 12:29:47 PM)

AWWW man I wish I was on it, I'm not because I couldn't order it.

Broeder Tuck -> RE: Who here is on the Warrior Wall? (7/21/2008 4:12:06 PM)

Yes I'm too: Wouter Stegeman.

It is indeed too bad there were such few payment option offered. Luck my aunt was willing to help me out, but I know more who couldn't order it. I agree that this is the coolest idea P.O.D. ever did for their fans, but I keep feeling bad for the becoming-warriors and the ones that couldnt make it on the wall.

I know the definition of a warrior is not being on the warriorwall, but it keeps feeling odd. The problem is, this isn't that kind of thing you can reprint or buy elsewhere.

Btw amazing how much your story is similar to mine, Gigi.
