EternallyAcoustic -> Murder One... am I missing something? (5/12/2008 5:45:25 PM)

I don't see a thread about this yet. if you go to http://www.dopethemovie.org the first song you hear is a sick track by the band called "Murder One". I did a little research on the song and I guess it is one of the last songs TRUBY wrote and recorded with the guys along with "Going In Blind" before he left.

If I seriously missed the thread about this, please delete this or merge it or do whatever you must with this.

I gotta say something though. Hearing this track makes me miss Truby being a part of the band. I love the new record and I'm anxious to see what the future will bring for the guys. But there was something about the self titled album and Testify that hit me in such a great way. I'm sure a lot of people will tell me to get over it, and I have. I guess if anything it makes me wonder how the new album would have been like had Marcos and Truby put their creative forces together. I mean judging by anything that's been recorded and heard by the public post-Testify, it would have been quite an album. Imagine what a Marcos/Truby acoustic instrumental would have sounded like. I probably would have died with a melted face, busted gut and with my socks rocked off.

anyway. I hope you guys like the track as much as me.... Here's hoping Truby's forthcoming vocal album will have some power like this track. I'm not saying Truby should rap over his heavy guitar riffs (heh heh imagine that). Just something that hits me like this track does.

Hmm...

Is this track supposed to be on a soundtrack album? Becuase that site pretty much hosts the mp3 right out in the open...

I'm glad it is just a case of me slipping on what I check on this board.

If the mods want to delete this thread, do it up. or merge it with that one. whatev.

I'm really feeling Truby nostalgia right now.

He is such a fantastic musician.

This is definitely a ways off seeing as how we just got a new album already but I think the producer of this track, Travis Wyrick, should rock it behind the boards for the next P.O.D. record. He produced the Testify demos as well as "Going In Blind", all of which sound awesome. Jay Baumgardner's producing on the new album resulted in a relatively flat sound. Travis definitely knew how to produce a great P.O.D. track. I think he could get the guys to make a truly great album. Anyway, those are my thoughts of the evening. Good night to you all.

Man, this song is awesome, but I don't think it would fit on WAASD, it's really diverse.
It's a great song though, but since it was written and recorded with Truby I can't see why they should put it on the new album. I think it's great to see it becoming a soundtrack.

I actually brought this up about a month before the song was released, wondering if they'd ever do anything with it...

"Your Eyes" was an exclusive bonus-track when you bought Testify from Wal-mart.
"Not Your Kind" appeared as a bonus-track in the japanese release of Testify.
