psmgamer -> Warped Tour 2008 (4/27/2008 4:36:27 PM)
Anyone going to Warped Tour 2008 this year? I am thinking of going because Relient K, Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying, Devil Wears Parada, and Maylene and The Sons of Disaster along with Anberlin are going to be their in my city July 5, 2008.

I've been growingly disillusioned with Norma Jean after their drummer left for spiritual reasons; I just feel that he's right and they are not playing music to praise/glorify God anymore. I mean if you look at their website they even called their fans maggots satirically and stuff like 'the anti-mother hates you'. Imo they're just acting like idiots now. I've lost a lot of respect for them. I don't even listen to them anymore, even though I love all 3 of their albums, particularly Redeemer. Their new album may prove me wrong, but I am very cynical. I have nothing against bands having a sense of humour, but NJ have taken it too far imo. It's such a shame as I felt they were so talented and original.[:@][:(]

I visited Norma Jean's website and read some of their post and it seems like they are joking around when they write updates on whats happening. I loved the bands first album and kinda liked the second one but really enjoyed the third one. I am looking forward to The Anti-Mother cd whenever it comes out in 2008. I never knew that their drummer left the band so it may seem like something is happening within the band that made him leave. I haven't seem them live so I don't really know if they joke on stage or not. I am hoping that at Warped Tour that they preach on stage or something.

they probably won't. I've seen NJ live and they were fantastic, probably the best gig I've ever been to! But that was before their drummer left; and yes he left for spiritual reasons, he declared that he thought the band had lost its vision that it started with and is no longer making music for the gospel. That really saddened me. I know NJ joke a lot and that's all it is but I think they've taken it too far. I hate to say it but unless the prove me wrong with this new album I think they sold out.[:@]
