Kyrie -> RE: 2008: Where are you now? (5/5/2008 1:12:18 AM)

Thought I'd drop in and say hello. I'm 20 now, allergic to senior year of high school and as a result haven't graduated yet. It goes something like this: 2004 :got sick in Junior year (yr 11) 2005: and had to repeat half of it the next year while doing half of Senior year 2006: started the second half and had a nervous breakdown five weeks in due to a lot of factors but missing about four very vital weeks of the beginning of the year due to an accident and illness didn't help. Spent six months in bed, got a job near the end of the year, worked full time doing admin stuff for three months then quit to 2007: go back to school again (third time's the charm?) which was fantastic until the second day of term 2 when I fell asleep on my desk at 9am. Was sent home with a cold...the flu...glandular fever (mono)...we don't know what's wrong with you. Got diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue (Myalgic encephalomyelitis) which basically means they don't know what I have or how to fix it, just that I'm sick. 2008: finally totally fed up with not doing anything all day I went back to school, this time via correspondence. I get behind sometimes due to my illness but I'm doing alright. [:)] I'm engaged to my longtime sweetheart, Troy. I'm a member of the Orthodox Church (think Greek or Russian and you've got two ethnic variants of the one Church) and the services I attend are usually in Greek or Arabic. I'm learning both! My Church name for those who care about such things is Kyriaki since we all have Saints' names if we weren't born with them. Long story as to why I'm Kyriaki, but I firmly believe in the ability of those who have fallen asleep before us in the Lord to help us out... Still living at home, in Australia. Giving my priest a hard time, along with the rest of us young'uns at my Church, and he teases us just as much back. Uh...I really don't know if there's anything more interesting to write. Oh, and I can't listen to anything that's too heavy to play on mainstream radio now due to increased noise and light sensitivity. Fun.
