I think the first album that I purchased was Satellite. I bought it with my own money.

Was back in '04 or '05, I had never heard of remixes before and couldn't believe my luck when I found a summer mix album with almost every hit song that was popular at time (but what I was really stoked about was Michael Jackson's Earth Song - I had eyed his History Vol 1 for quite some time...)
Boy, was I shocked to find out what a remix is?!?!?!?

I think my 1st real album was Steven Curtis Chapman's Lord of the Dance, that I bought back in 1997.

The first CD I got was "WOW 2000," a 2-disc Christian music compilation my parents got me for Christmas of 1999, the year they bought me my first CD player.

The first CD I bought was a Christian rock compilation album called "Seltzer 2." It had all the cool Christian groups from the 90's... Newsboys, Audio A, Skillet ("Locked in a Cage" - I loved that one!).

This first real album I bought was "Static" by Bleach, who I discovered because of "Seltzer 2."

wow if i remember correctly the first album i ever bought was "MC Hammer - Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em" . hahaaaa. good times. i was like 12.

first rock album i ever bought 1997 (i must have been 14) were both together "Stavesacre - Friction" a very good album which i pop in once in awhile and "Every Day Life - Disgruntled" at the same time but i lost the last one :(

this intoduced me into heavy music and i never got back to anything else. 1999 then i got The Fundamental Elements from my brother to christmas. I was hooked ever since and startet lstening to hardcore bands like No Innocent Victim :)

Well, if we ignore the children's CDs, I think the first CD I got was Linkin Park's Meteora (at least the first "heavier" one). It really got hooked me to nu metal and hard rock, and the next thing I knew was me buying Payable On Death on December 2005 from a local store while getting a Christmas present for my mum...

I got my first two cds simultaneously. Disciple Back Again and 38th Parallel Turn These Tides.

38th Parallel broke up after making only one cd. They had that same rap rock sound as P.O.D. They are one of the greatest bands of all time simply because they didn't have a chance to go downhill.[8D]
