I can't wait to see it, I'm going this thursday with my fiancee. It sucks sometimes living in the UK and getting these things after you guys in America haha! I'm a huge batman fan, always have been ever since I was a young boy; he's always been my favourite superhero, he continues to capture my imagination and fascinate me. Batman is such an intriguing character. I recently bought Gotham Knight, which was cool and my fiancee bought me the batman encyclopedia for my birthday. I loved Batman Begins, I thought Bale was the archetypal bruce wayne/batman and Christopher Nolan did an amazing job directing it. That's why I have no doubts about how good this film will be!

Glad you liked it, always good to hear positive feedback.

I saw it yesterday and I was not disappointed! It is am awesome film! I loved it, definitely the best Batman film to date by far. I thought Heath Ledger and Christian Bale played their characters fantastically, Ledger for me the definitive Joker compared to Nicholson, scarier, more sinister and querkier. I thought both the portrayal of Batman and the Joker was true to the graphic novels; Nolan really did his homework, I think the Dark Knight really did Batman justice.

I really loved the way, like in Batman Begins, Nolan merged different genres to convey the different elements of the story. I had complete faith in his directing and vision of Batman after Batman Begins and he did not let me down. As a Batman fan, I really enjoyed this film and will definitely see it again at the cinema and buy it on dvd, it is a must have for me!!!

I saw it to... sucks, Batman has always been my favorite superhero to but I find these films nothing like the comics, I don't get why so many people are making such a big deal out of it... oh and Ledger sucked to, haha

heres my mini myspace review

"I finally saw the Dark Knight and just like I thought, it sucked big time balls... it never felt like I was watching Batman at all, Christian Bale was far too... over the top it seemed like, Heath Ledger was serious more then anything, why so serious? the Joker? serious?... I expected atleast one smile on my face but all Heath was able to do for me was make me feel guilty for even being remotely curious for his acting on this film, never made me believe that he was the Joker, he just made it seem like he was some crazy guy wanting so badly to act like his idol but never quite got it right...
as for Harvey Dent/Two Face... the actor doesn't look the part but somehow, I liked him better then Tommy Lee Jones atleast... *shrugs* I guess just the seriousness felt better, hahaha
only actor I did like throughout the film, as always is Gary Oldmen you can throw him any part and he'll be great in it.
but yeah, another terrible Batman film, I rather watch the Gotham Knight, ha"

I thought Heath injected humour into his role, he played a very querky Joker, but he also played a very dark and sinister Joker, which lets face it to be that sadistically insane you would have to be very messed up and I thought Heath portrayed that very well. I loved the scenes where he was explaining his scars, some of the scariest and disturbing moments in the film. As for Bale as Batman/Wayne, I thought he's been the best batman yet ever since I saw Batman Begins for the first time; I love his performance. He for me of all the actors who've played the part is the most believable, he's a physically strong guy, who also is able to look suave and act the part of the playboy really well. Neither Bale nor Ledger imo have been bettered.

I really prefer Nicholson or Hamil even, Batman tho... well Christian Bale has a terrible lisp and... I wouldn't be able to take a dude dressed up in a batsuit with a lisp seriously, I think his acting is far too over the top when he does his little batman voice as well... so I much prefer Keaton as Batman, he was the only guy I saw in a Batman suit that could play it off well.

LOL yeah that definitely constitutes a spoiler! You never know, he could well return but even if he doesn't, within the plot line I think his 'death' was justified, I didn't have a problem with it. Besides graphic novels/comic books have greater longevity than films anyway, so maybe it's inevitable that some characters will get killed off in the films.

@ deathdealer777 I hear what you are saying about Christian Bale, but for me Keaton didn't have the physical presence, I could never really believe he could take on the criminal underworld. I think Bale is a more believable Batman as far physical prowess is concerned. As for his gruff voice he puts on as Batman, I don't have an issue with it; you would need to mask your real voice otherwise people may recognise you. As I said before for me Bale is the archetypal Wayne/Batman.

Concerning Nicholson vs Ledger, I felt Heath really conveyed the character more than Nicholson, there was still a lot of Nicholson in his portrayal of the Joker imo. But that's just my opinion.

I saw it last weekend.  I already knew jonny's feelings about the movie, but now after I've been able to reflect on it, I actually liked it.  I admit I always liked keaton, and nicholson played a flamboyant joker, but in all honesty I think this movie did the series justice.  it gave a glimpse of the struggles batman goes through, it gave a different perspective of the joker, and for any producer/director with the balls to take on this series I have to give them props.  it could have been better in some areas, sure....bale could have come up with another batman voice, I'll accept that.  I just can't say this movie sucks when you weigh everything else.

I also think jonny misses his ps3 too much and is taking it out on the dark knight
