On January 19th my dad lost his battle with cancer .. I just got back from Canada a few days ago .. I am ok .. but life just feels strange now.

I'll explain more later but I thought I'd just get the basics out for now.

When I got the call that my dad didnt have much longer I was on a plain 3 days later .. it wasnt quick enough .. he died four hours before I arrived home. He's in a better place now .. and I'm good .. I know more then ever how blessed I am .. I have an awesome wife and I am just blessed.

So if there is any advice I can give you for this new year .. go hug your parents if you can .. tell them you love them .. I told my dad I loved him on the phone before I flew out .. it was the best phone call I could've ever made. Nothing left unsaid .. no regrets.

Got to spend some good quality time with my brother and the rest of my family.

more news to come soon .. just thought I'd share.

I'm sorry for your loss and I think it's awesome that you can stay positive during all of that. Also thanks for the reminder family is important and is too often taken for granted. God Bless

I'm sorry to hear about all of that as well, but it's admirable that you are able to look at it positively. Thanks for the reminder... You can never say those 3 famous words too much.
