Its obvious since the new POD cd came out that there are some very different opinions floating around about it. I understand that you get upset when someone comes on these boards and straight out say that POD suck .. I dont like that either.. however when someone whos been a POD fan for 10 years or more comes in and gives there honest opinion about the new album thats there right and as long as they are respectful you should respect there opinions.. if your a real warrior that stands for what real warriors stand for then we should see nothing less then respect for others opinions.

Its ok to respond and say that you disagree with someones opinion .. but dont start mud slinging... its not cool... and personally I'm sick of it. I love POD and will always be a fan because I think the guys are awesome men of God. So please.. think before you post.

Thanks.

Pete G.

Pete I respect you as a person as a mod and as a christian. I share your opinion that we have to show respect, but just one thing man....the people that is posting their opinions must have some respect too.

Look at this post...

As I said before, I can understand ppl not liking the new CD... I guess they just like the music and not really the band or their message but well, that's something i'm not discussing here. What I really mean is.....if your asking for some respect.....ask both sides please.

Thank you.

I fully agree with you Freedom.. disrespect from either side is not cool.. and that post you showed me is not cool.. if there not POD fans they shouldnt even bother. Its the people who have been POD fans for years that have been posting there opinions with respect that need to be respected in return .. but for sure posts like the one you showed me are unacceptable and just plain idiotic.

for real's pete thats all good in all. but you got to look at everything that went down in a fair manner. Your taking sides, and your arguments are one sided. I believe that i handled the manner in a mature way, despite what some of you might think. I never was yelling at anyone, I was always in a calm manner. I never cursed him out, or damaged his charecter, like some people have to each other on these boards in the past. I was simply having a discussion with other people who had different views, and My comment about selfish warriors and turning your back on the band was not directed at that person. I regret he took that comment as directed at him or that you felt it was to you, but I do not regret the other things I said because its my own personal opinion. I never said my opinion was the Law, I was expressing how I felt in a good manner, and when did this becomed frown uponed here? Its hard to see the emotions and body language behind our post when you only see words on the internet, next time please before lashing out, please ask me what I was trying to say, rather then making a dramatic scene.

Thanks

respect other people's opinions?

yeah right, if you disagree with me you aren't respecting my opinion therefore why would I respect your opinion............

your opinion sucks, my opinion is the truth and you people are just wrong because you don't agree with me

Yeah. You do have a point there but what give you liberty to do the same to us. We are all equal. Your opinions are not truth. That'd make you sound pretty celestial, wouldn't it? You make mistakes like everyone else and by throwing out your comment, expect response. It is the reason why we communicate, right? You may think one thing while I think another but that's cool. I totally respect that because I know that I'm not like anyone and no one is like me so, yeah, I should respect others. Same goes for you.

Example: You totally bashed Sonny Sandoval for no reason. It is not truth that Sonny hasn't a drop os talent in him. Try "Myth" to fit that (thats what I think). You just think differently. Lots of people would chose a bandmate over another but we respect each other, not go after whoever didn't get picked with a bazooka.

Plus some of us on the forums know P.O.D. or at least a member personally and that's not cool to dis one's family. We should all respect each other opinons. Yeah, we can joke but don't take it too far or at the expense of others. Try to respect one another. That's why we're here. So chill with the wildfire, everyone.

You know that one sentence right there could be a lesson to certain people on these forums who piss and whine anytime someone disagrees with them, I saw yesterday a certain mod questioning peoples christianity over a petty disagreement, and what's really funny is this mod is supposedly has respect for other peoples opinions, some of you people can not handle anyone disagreeing with you, if you are so insecure in your own values and mental structure that someone who disagrees with you causes you to loose balance, or causes you to feel as though you are being bashed or somehow oppressed, like you are worthless, then maybe you should be a little more concerned with a shrink than p.o.d., congrats to those who figured it out, I crashed three threads today to make this ver point...................I'm sure I will go unheard

On the subject of respecting opinions, does this mean I should respect any and all opinions?
