So basically, I said to him how people in Heaven forgetting their loved ones in Hell was a crock of s--t and he started calling me an idiot, and then I said that at least I was not so pompous and full of myself and he told me to get out of the church, he pushed me out the door and I told him to not f---ing touch me and he closed the door shut and locked it behind me.

I know a lot of people are going to be on the pastor's side. I'm very sorry for using the "s" in church but subjects like these (and homosexuality) get me very wound up. Especially if I am dealing with a pastor who isn't qualified enough.

Also, I think he's kind of jealous, because there is this other pastor who stole from his church and made himself a new church and his church is more successful than my former pastor's. He sometimes talks about the other pastor and it makes me believe that he's jealous. Also my former pastor has a problem with pride. He's constantly flaunting out his salvation. We already know you're saved, there's like only 20 people in the church on Bible study nights and on church

I still have yet to find any part of the Bible that says anything about the disremembrance of loved ones who didn't make the cut into Heaven.

Okay don't take what I am am about to say the wrong way. I am not trying to sound rude or anything like that. It's just tough love talking, because you need to hear it.

Well, when you cuss at someone...generally speaking, they won't like it very much. He is a pastor, and, whether you agree with him or not, what you did was innapropriate. What did you expect? Come on, that can be considered Harassment. I am sure that if you had sat down with him and discussed this appropriatly, instead of cussing at the poor man, this wouldn't have come to what it is now. You need to go back and apologize to him, first things first, then explain to him why you disagree with him on this subject...

Also...are you gossiping about your pastor on a forum? It appears so.

What makes you say that?

Also, if your pastor is as horrible as you are making him out to be, why didn't you just leave? If you had such a beef with him, you should have left. I really don't get it. Go to ANY church, and you will disagree with someone at least once. If you honestly think that you will find a church with no problems, a church that will agree 100% with you, you are dreaming. And, if you disagree with them the same way you did with your own pastor, thay would do the same thing. You don't cuss at people just because you don't agree with them or have opinions about them. You just don't do it in polite society. And you certainly don't do it in a church to your pastor. Come on.

And...the answer to this question will decide the fate of the earth how? This argument is as important as "did eve eat the forbidden fruit or the forbidden apple?"  It just makes no sense to argue about.

I understand how you feel and can see how your pastor acted inappropriately. However I also think the way you acted was very immature and childish therefore got a very childish response. Even if it was out of anger or resentment or whatever emotion you were feeling or fed up with certain issues, it still doesn't make it okay to act like that. You might disagree and think it's okay, but as long as you act like that then expect to be treated as you were.

I'd find a different church if I were you and if you want to continue going to church because that church seems to have some bad leadership.

pastors often make the mistake of thinking they know everything. Just leave. A true pastor would never kick someone out for swearing or disagreeing with him. Its purely ridiculous

I personally think you were both wrong.  Though you shouldn't have cursed at your (former) pastor, he should not have kicked you out.  A good leader would never have have done any of the things he did.  Like calling you an idiot, telling you to leave, and most definatly not physically pushing you out the door.  It seems as if you needed a new church anyways, any leadership that wont hear another opinion is flawed.  However, I might recommend holding your tounge when your temper flares again.  God bless, and good luck with the new church.

Bro, you cursed at a Pastor and probably in front of people...he had every right to kick you out. You were probably disrupting things. Now I'm not saying that I agree with what he was saying, me and my girlfriend have this exact convo about how she believes we won't remember and I believe we will. There is no scripture really to back up either side, it's really based on opinion and ya know what it really doesn't matter....it's not something we should argue about. Next time you want to have a discussion with your pastor do it appropriately meaning no cursing or yelling at him and in private.

Y'know, I'm going to have to let my two cents on this.

I have to agree with those that said the both of you were wrong. The pastor had no right flaunting what he has and getting an ego and shoving you out the door. However, you had no right cursing and carrying on, causing a scene. There was a much more civilised way to have handled this and no casualties on either side.

I may not be Christian but I know that you guys are not suppose to have sun-sized egos. The pastor's not right for pushing his bruised ego onto the congregation, thus upsetting you. Plus putting his hands on you is also a no-no unless you were becoming physically belligerent...although you were being verbally flippant and that was triggering enough. Cursing someone out is normally triggering to something just as negative. If the pastor is saying something that's off the wall, you should have talked things out with him in private. If the guy has an ego, confronting him publicly won't do anyone any good since he feels he has a rep to protect.

For not remembering those who didn't make the Angels team, you can still remember them, even pray for their souls and hope things may somehow get better. The person may have been a jerk (by our human standards. Every act that has been made can be shown to benefit one person and hurt another regardless how benevolent or malevolent it is) but they don't have to be forgotten if they were that decent a person by you. And I don't think that there's a scripture stating the forgetting myself.

It seems preaching has gone downhill, too. More and more preachers are going on and on about their lives and their personal stuff when it should be about the word of God. Can't get much on King David but you sure can get the complete inside info on how nice their car looks. Kinda scares me.

Kodachi said it best, It should be about the Word of God...Thats why I love my church....Unfortunately there are churches out there that dont preach the Word, or take bits and pieces from it, or even ignore bits and pieces of it....I dont know of any passage in Scripture that talks about remembering but i do know the pastor shouldnt have called u an idiot or even pushed you out, not that you should have said what u did, but he still shouldnt have done that....Best advice i can give, find another church....And also, one that doesnt preach homosexuality is ok
